Louis Chenu's Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er cru 'Les Lavières' is an elegant territorial expression. The cru takes its name from the lava substratum of the soil, a sign of ancient volcanic activity in the area. Distinctly aromatic in its youth, with notes of red fruits and violets, it is also an excellent wine with years of ageing when the bouquet evolves hints of flint and smoke, typical of this terroir. The palate is fine but structured, with a fresh and persistent bite. A wine of sure and great longevity
Light, bright ruby red
Intense hints of cherry and violet, pleasant aromas of underbrush, smoky hints on the finish
Full-bodied, fragrant and with good tannic texture
