FIANO 'ZÙ' DE BEAUMONT 2022 DESCRIPTION

Producer Fabio de Beaumont's Fiano 'Zù' is a macerated white wine from Campania characterised by seductive floral and mineral aromas, sons of the terroir and the original vines. The aristocratic de Beaumont family, of French origin, settled in Naples during the 13th century, before arriving in Irpinia in 1675, precisely in the area of Castelvetere sul Calore, where they became landowners. For a long time, the grapes grown on the estate were sold directly, until the 1970s and 1980s, when the de Beaumonts began to make and market their own wine. In 2014, young Fabio then decided to devote himself to the family's land and began producing wines, liqueurs and aromatised wines according to a genuine and sustainable philosophy.

Fiano Fabio de Beaumont 'Zù' comes from a solid base of Fiano grapes (90%) combined with 10% Malvasia, varieties cultivated according to organic farming principles. In particular, the vines stand on clay and limestone soils of volcanic origin, located at altitudes between 500 and 700 metres above sea level. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a process associated with several days of skin maceration. This is followed by a period of 10 months on the fine lees, also in stainless steel, and then bottling and a further resting period of at least 7 months in glass.

Fabio de Beaumont's Fiano 'Zù' has a very intense straw yellow colour. The nose denotes sweet floral scents of broom and pollen, enhanced by hints of acacia honey and baked apple, all supported by a fine mineral vein with sulphurous reminiscences typical of the terroir. The sip reveals an intense sapid-mineral timbre, as well as a lovely freshness that accompanies the fragrant aromatic sensations on the finish.
