The Cahors 'La Pierre' from Chateau Les Croisille was born rather high for the region, at an altitude of 300 metres on the limestone plateau of Luzech. A genuine expression of its terroir, this wine is nevertheless distinguished by a peculiarity: it is matured in special vats carved out of limestone. Deep purple-red in colour, it offers a rich nose of black fruits with spicy notes on the finish. The palate is balanced, with a subtle tannic texture and distinctive mineral profile, to be tried with duck confit or lamb sauté
