VALPOLICELLA TOMMASI 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Valpolicella red wine from Veneto announces itself from the very first moment as a label with a young and easy-going character, well suited to being enjoyed in the company of friends during the most informal occasions. A bottle where aromas and flavours are easy to understand, fragrant, and benefit from an ageing process carried out only in steel that keeps the primary characteristics of the indigenous grapes used intact. Tommasi confirms itself with a bottle that always ranks well in Italian reference guides and is even more convincing if one looks at the price at which it is offered.

This Valpolicella Tommasi originates from a blend of indigenous red grapes grown in the estate's own vineyards, which cover a total area of 27 hectares in Valpolicella. The blend is composed as follows: Corvina 60%, Rondinella 30% and Molinara for the remaining 10%. The must obtained from the pressing of the grapes ferments in stainless steel containers for 12 days, and the wine then remains in steel to refine and stabilise for 4 months. At the end of this rapid maturation, the product is ready to be bottled and marketed.

The Valpolicella red wine made by the Tommasi winery announces itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of the colour of ruby, not too marked. The range of sensations and aromas that envelop the nose recalls crisp notes of freshly picked red fruit, also enhanced by more floral notes, which peep out towards the end of the olfactory examination. In the mouth, it is light-bodied, agile and dynamic, with a sip that attacks the palate with freshness and fluidity. A label that makes itself even more desirable thanks to its very interesting quality-price ratio.
