A lively and original wine, perfect for creating a convivial atmosphere!
The Ribolla Gialla Frizzante Pet-Nat of the Friulian artisanal winery San Lurins is a bottle-refermented wine that tells the truest and most direct face of the San Lorenzo Isontino area. In this area, in 1874, the great-grandparents of Marco Pecorari, the current owner of the San Lurins winery, bought the first plot of land and started wine and cereal production mixed with dairy and beef cattle and pig breeding. After complicated decades, during which wine production ceased in favour of the cultivation and direct sale of grapes, Marco Pecorari took the reins of the estate in 2014, bottling his first wine.
Pet-Nat San Lurins Ribolla Gialla Frizzante is a 100% Ribolla Gialla from a single young vineyard planted in 2016 on the right bank of the river Isonzo, in the municipality of San Lorenzo Isontino. The vines, grown according to the principles of certified organic farming, stand on calcareous red soil of alluvial origin, rich in clay and pebbles. When the grapes have reached the perfect stage of ripeness, they are harvested by hand into crates, with the bunches then softly pressed whole. The flower must obtained is left to decant cold for about 12-15 hours before alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. Towards the end of the fermentation process, the must-wine is bottled in order to finish fermentation in the bottle, developing a slight froth according to the Ancestral Method. The final release takes place no earlier than 12 months of rest and without disgorging, so as to present a living wine that is constantly evolving.
The Ribolla Gialla Pet-Nat Frizzante of San Lurins has a pale straw yellow colour with lively mousse. Evocative yeasty and bakery aromas emerge from the glass together with pleasant herbaceous and unripe white fruit sensations. The sip is agile and lively, with great tension and freshness and a savoury and very drinkable finish.
