Marchand-Tawse's Bourgogne Rouge 'Joie de Vigne' is an excellent Burgundy red, perfect for getting to know the style of this region. A small percentage of Gamay gives aromaticity. The 10-month ageing on the lees in stainless steel, without clarification or filtration, gives a wine of great freshness and fruity immediacy. The nose is dominated by hints of red fruits and the sip is direct, aromatic. Perfect example of Burgundy for all
The Bourgogne Rouge 'Joie de Vigne' is the perfect introduction to the style of the Maison de Négoce Marchand-Tawse, configuring itself as a label played on freshness and aromatic fragrance. It is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, the two black Burgundy grape varieties, the former capable of bringing its elegant and graceful character while the latter gives a pleasantly rustic dimension to this Bourgogne Rouge.
Marchand-Tawse's 'Joye de Vigne' Bourgogne Rouge comes from a blend of Pinot Noir (70%) and Gamay (30%), varieties grown in the Burgundy region using sustainable agronomic practices based on the dictates of organic farming. Following the harvest, the grapes are vinified in 100% whole cluster red, with 5 days of cold skin maceration and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts. The subsequent 10-month maturation phase also takes place in stainless steel, so as to preserve the attributes of the two varieties at the basis of the blend as much as possible. Throughout the entire process, clarification and filtration are excluded.
The Bourgogne 'Joie de Vigne' Rouge from Marchand-Tawse presents itself in the glass with a soft ruby red colour. The olfactory panorama is described by fragrant fruity aromas of blueberry and cherry, fresh and in spirit, combined with floral hints reminiscent of violets and rose petals and pleasant earthy and mushroomy nuances. In the mouth, it is fresh and tasty, with remarkable verticality and very fine tannins that anticipate the fragrant finish and good persistence. This Bourgogne Rouge is an ideal accompaniment to white meat dishes, such as first courses or roast main courses.
