Bruno Giacosa's Barbaresco Riserva 'Asili' is one of the great masterpieces of the Langhe, a fine wine that expresses both the noble character and surprising longevity of Nebbiolo. The nose enchants with its intense aromas of flowers and dark fruit enriched by elegant balsamic, spicy and woody hints. The palate is austere but with great finesse, with an enveloping texture and very fresh. The tannins, at first tight, soften with time and the sip leads to a very, very long finish
Ruby red colour with garnet hues
Red fruits such as morello cherry, dark hints of plum and cocoa, hints of undergrowth and tobacco open up to woody and balsamic hints
Complex, austere and refined, with intense but welcoming tannin, fresh and with a very long finish
