Deltetto's Alta Langa Riserva Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature '480m' is a sparkling wine made from pure Chardonnay, which pays homage to the altitude of the vineyards on which it is made. The base wine spends time in French oak barrels before re-fermentation. The nose develops fine hints of citrus fruits, exotic fruits and typical hints of yeast and pastry. The palate is very dry, vertical on the sip and with a long finish. Perfect with raw fish
Through its elegant and seductive aromas, Deltetto's Alta Langa Riserva Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature '480m' succeeds in conveying the qualities of Alta Langa sparkling wines made from Chardonnay grapes. Of Roero tradition, the family-run Deltetto winery has over the years become a point of reference for Alta Langa thanks to its exceptionally fine sparkling wine production. This achievement is largely due to Antonio Deltetto, the first of the family to experiment with the production of bubbles by adopting the Metodo Classico technique, initially using indigenous varieties, and since 2000 with the noble Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties, in the wake of the great Champagnes.
The Blanc de Blancs Riserva Deltetto Brut Nature Alta Langa '480m' is a 100% Chardonnay from vines grown on a certified organic basis in the Roddino area, at an altitude of 480 metres above sea level. The bunches, harvested entirely by hand, are vinified using the white wine method through soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation of the must in French oak barriques with several passages, at a controlled temperature of 18 °C. Following a short period of maturation in the same type of wine container, the base is then subjected to bottle fermentation according to the Metodo Classico, combined with at least 42 months of ageing on the lees. Once disgorged, the sparkling wine is not finally dosed.
The Alta Langa Blanc de Blancs Riserva Brut Nature '480m' from the Deltetto family estate has a straw-yellow hue with a fine, long-lasting effervescence. The exciting olfactory texture is told by hints of citrus, exotic fruit, peach, white flowers, sweet spices, bread crust and yeast zest. The palate is dry and agile, fresh and vertical, with a pleasant and very persistent finish.
